Kizz Daniel has reacted strongly on social media following his purported detention in Ivory Coast for missing a concert.

It was previously reported that the artist, who traveled to Ivory Coast to perform, refused to take the stage on Oct. 12. He was allegedly detained for failing to perform.

Kizz Daniel, on the other hand, replied to this on his Instagram Stories, saying, “This time, silence no go work.”

This comes just one day after Kizz Daniel released a video of himself and his crew preparing to go to Ivory Coast, stating that the flight cost N40 million.

“Lol because Vado no dey talk. Una don start again. This time silence no go work. Typing”, he wrote.

Nigerian singer Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, popularly known as Kizz Daniel, has revealed how bullying suffered as a child affected his social skills.

The singer said that he was chubby while growing up, and other children would take advantage of his weight to bully and make fun of him.

The ‘Buga’ crooner made this known in the latest episode of the Afrobeats Podcast, hosted by Adesope Olajide.

He said, “I have built a world of my own in my head since I was little. Because growing up, I was a fat kid. I was chubby. So, I don’t go out because the kids in the area make fun of me. They called me orobo (someone who is fat). And they bullied me. So I always stay indoors.

“During that time, I always stayed indoors, and I’d already built this fantasy world. In the world that I have built in my head, I’m very comfortable in that space.

“So, I reintroduced myself to the world after I lost weight; I lost all forms of social skills. I don’t know how to communicate. I don’t know how to socialise with people.”

Award-winning singer Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe, aka Kizz Daniel, has said he thought Woju would be his only hit song.

Kizz Daniel marked his entry into the Nigerian music scene with his hit song ‘Woju’ in 2014, which gained massive airplay.

While speaking during the latest episode of Afrobeats Podcast, the’ Buga Crooner’ said he contemplated going for his Master’s degree or going fully into music when he made his hit song.

His words: “When I had my first hit song, I was only thinking of that year and not a follow-up song. I told my dad to give me one year to try music if it pays. I told him, ‘If it pays, I am not going to do my Masters; I will focus on music, make money, and care for everybody, and he agreed.

“After I made Woju, my thought was to get everything from the song. Social media was becoming a thing at the time, and I was called a ‘one-hit wonder’. I also heard it was difficult to make a hit song.

“It was harder to make hit songs back then compared to now. I was lucky to be with a wonderful woman at the time.
After Woju, she kept praying; before the remix of Woju dropped, she fasted a lot and prayed for a follow-up record.

“That was when the follow-up song ‘Laye’ dropped. I recorded it in April 2015 and released it in May 2015.”
He also stated that he has so many songs that he could put 50 songs on one album.

His words: “I’m a studio rat; I am always in the studio recording. I have loads of songs, and if it’s possible to put 50 songs on an album, I will do it.”

This track sounds like a vintage Afrobeat tune, with Kizz Daniel delivering a stellar performance on the track. He was really in his element as he sings “Flex” with adoring lyrics and rhythm. As the title says, he really just wants to flex.

Cough (Odo)

Kizz Daniel had dropped the addicting new tune, “ODO – COUGH” earl way earlier before this album and the song became a big hit. The Philkeyz-produced song has a catchy chorus and recounts a sweet tale of a just discovered love interest. It appears like Kizz Daniel wants to emphasise the sensation of new love in this song. This track has a good fusion of major Afro elements which is decently blended with Not3s’ iconic rap style. Kizz Daniel really outdid himself as he came up with this beautiful fusion of styles – with the Nomcebo Zikode feature – that definitely defines a beautiful musical experience.

E’better

The eleventh track of the Maverick album may sound like mid-tempo tune but it is really the kind song you may underrate on this project. Kizz Daniel sounds bold and confident as he soothingly sings in his unique voice and in the most relaxing way.

Blood is Thicker

“Blood is Thicker” is an enthralling track that demonstrates Kizz Daniel versatility to come through with a range of songs that don’t really sound alike. Kizz Daniel had fun making this album, and this track is one of those tunes that proves this.

One Dollar ft. Blaqbonez

Hearing Blaqbonez on any track recently sounds like a funky tune that you’d definitely enjoy. Kizz Daniel came through with the perfect feature as he sings boldly in his style, however, in a mid tempo Afrobeats vibe. Blaqbonez really set the tone, and Kizz Daniel went flying as expect.

Easy To Love ft. Chike

You’d think Kizz Daniel had delivered the perfect love song when you heard track 9. Nonetheless, Kizz Daniel dropped another adorable masterpiece as he features lover boy, Chike. They both blended their styles in a euphoric manner that fans would love for so many days.

We talked about Kizz Daniel having a lot of fun with this album, “Pour” sounds like the track that aptly depicts the exact wave that Kizz Daniel is enjoying. He really dug deep in his own element and outdid himself by being sleek and witty with his lines on this low-tempo Afrobeats dipped in a little Amapiano tune.

Kizz Daniel delivered a good melody as he brags about things he’d never be caught doing or not doing. The way he calmly addresses the way he smoothly lives life and avoids unnecessary issues in this Afrobeats tune is so unique and beautiful to hear.

Anchovy

It may seem like Kizz Daniel made up for the mid-tempo songs by adding up the track, “Anchovy”, to the Maverick album. The Anchovy has a good entertaining vibe and party mood as Kizz Daniel sings melodiously about living his life and doing his stuff his own way. Fans would definitely enjoy this one.

RTID (Rich Till I Die)

In a short video and pictures on social media, Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe popularly known as Kizz Daniel has settled beef with his former record label boss, Emperor Geezy, CEO of G Worldwide Ent.

The duo were seen vibing to his new song. This is as preparation for his UK tour has gathered media buzz.
A source closed to them revealed that “Kiss Daniel and Emperor Geezy have finally ended their feud in and out of court.

“In a music video on Instagram, Emperor Geezy was dancing to Kizz Daniel’s latest hit single, Oshe’”.
According to the source, the ambience resonated with love, this is they could see pictures of both parties now at peace.

As seen on Instagram, Kizz Daniel captioned the post of Emperor Geezy, “Peace, Love and Respect. At the end of it all, we just need to maintain peace and show love and respect to one another”.

A close associate, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed the news. “We have pictures of us signing paper works and all that, but I do not want us to rekindle the thing by showing paper works again because the case has lingered for a very long time.

He added: “Kizz Daniel and Emperor Geezy have established positive vibe and moves as good friends”
It would be recalled that the court case lingered for close a decade and has made the artiste change his stage name from Kiss Daniel to Kizz Daniel.

“Kizz Daniel and his former music record label boss, Festus Ehimare, were recently seen shaking hands and dancing to his latest song ‘Oshe’ with written: Peace & Love,” according to the source.
