    Khaid Reveals He Offered Rema His First N1Million To Show Don Jazzy His Video

    Sulaimon Shekoni Solomon, the renowned singer known by his stage name Khaid, has shared the story of how he appealed to his fellow artist Rema to showcase his freestyle video to music executive Don Jazzy during his struggling artist days, hoping to secure a contract with Mavin Records.

    Expressing his desperation, he mentioned that he was even willing to offer Rema his initial N1 million if he could help facilitate a record deal with Mavin. Unfortunately, Rema never came across his messages.

    Khaid, who is currently under comedian Sydney Talker’s label, Neville Records, revealed this during a recent episode of the Zero Conditions podcast.

    He said:-

    “Rema if you are seeing this, please take heart. I actually went to Rema’s [Instagram] DM one day with my old account and sent my freestyle video to him. I said, ‘Bro, I know that you trap like me. Please, help me show this video to Don Jazzy. Let him sign me so that we will be in the same record label.’

    “He didn’t see the message. At that time, I was texting him with all emotions in me, bro. I was texting him with prayers. I was willing to give him my first 1 million.”

    Who would ever believe that a personality that attracts the tag “don” would ever think of having to quit getting a soft stick in the middle of two of his ten fingers and exiting smoke from his mouth in the aftermath?
    It’s really going to be hard to think of that though, however, Don Jazzy has actually made it easy to think about it as he has revealed he doesn’t smoke anymore. The Mavin boss who is a fervent user of Twitter took to the social media platform to reveal the shocking news to music lovers and other Twitter users in the early hours of this morning. In fact, Don Baba didn’t make a precise announcement, he is actually celebrating a year anniversary of quitting smoking.

    He revealed today makes it one year since he stopped smoking and judging by the composition of the tweet, it is easy to detect fulfilment and excitement from the don. Don Jazzy wrote; “Today makes it one year since I quit smoking. Clap for me pls hehe.”

    However, shocking fans have continued to entered his comment section, commenting their shock at his bold decision, asking questions and congratulating him for overcoming such a difficult thing.

    See What Happened During Don Jazzy’s Visit To The Big Brother Naija House Yesterday


    Music boss, Donjazzy had fun spending some quality time with the Big Brother Naija 2019 housemates yesterday, September 7.

    Donjazzy was hosted by the Indomie Cooking Challenge alongside his Mavin record label singer, Dr Sid.

    The day saw not just one Housemate winning but the entire Pepper Dem Gang winning the sum of five million Naira.

    Ike, Frodd and Khafi who were the top three in the Puzzle Challenge also walked away with a year’s supply of Indomie and the opportunity to send a customized ingredient basket to their family.

    The first challenge was a Jigsaw puzzle of Indomie packs. Puzzle boards were set up in the Arena and Housemates had to use the pieces beside each board to complete their puzzle. Ike, Khafi and Frodd were the first three to finish while Omashola and Mercy came in last.

    The Next Challenge

    On completion of the puzzle Challenge, each Housemate was handed a customised basket with different ingredients to cook a unique style of Indomie. Only two housemates are allowed in the kitchen and given 15 minutes to finish cooking their individual meals. Khafi and Ike went first getting the ball rolling for an epic cooking battle.

    The Presentation

    Meal after meal they tasted and never turned down any. As the Housemates presented their meals to Don Jazzy for tasting, he welcomed them with a beaming smile and an eager mouth.

    Each Housemate not only presented their unique meals but also accompanied it with a fancy rap, dance (phew Mercy!) and other creative ways. Way to go guys.

    Announcing the Winners

    In his speech, Don Jazzy said there is no one style that is unique. Everybody style is unique to them and all the Housemates will share the five million.

    According to him, it was a very difficult Task for them but because they don’t want any of them to chop alone, the prize money should be shared equally. This announcement was well-received as the Pepper Dem Gang burst into different dance steps.
